That’s a wonderfully, brutal sound
It is – it was very fast and very low -, but as a result of filtering out some crowd noise and other distractions I’ve lost some of the higher frequencies which is a shame.
Yes,
I guess that’s always an issue when crowds are around. This year I managed to record the Spitfire and Hurricane at the Great Central Railway from a field near the event to avoid the murmuring crowds. That said sometimes it adds something to hear the gasping reactions!
I wonder – do you have any recordings of the Hawker Typhoon, are their any still flying? That’s something i’d love to hear!
I don’t think there are any left flying. I think they have one on static display at the RAF Museum in Hendon.
