The aircraft was displaying as a naval group (Sea Hurricane, Corsair, Wildcat) at Old Warden. Recorded using a minidisc and an AT-822.  Curtiss P40 Kittyhawk Feb 15 (8) This is Supermarine Seafire F XVII SX 336 taking off from a grass runway. This recording was made at Old Warden Aerodrome, UK, where the aircraft was a ‘visitor’. Powered by a single liquid-cooled V-12 Rolls-Royce Merlin 55M capable of producing 1,585hp. The sound and the image are of the same aircraft – the image is via Wikipedia, the sound via a AT822->HiMD.
